Required Work
Evaluation
Students are evaluated in two ways: online tests
and pledges.
- Online tests - There are 18 Chapter
tests, 4 Unit tests, one Crossroads test, and either a Vocabulary
or What Would You Do? Test.
The questions are a combination of multiple choice and matching
questions. Because the online tests are graded automatically, the
student receives near-instantaneous feedback. Note: Paper tests
are available instead of online tests, but because of the
associated overhead -- like postage costs -- the online tests are
recommended.
- Pledges - Pledges are also available
online. They consist of statements that the student has completed
certain activities and agrees to uphold certain safe driving
behaviors. Note: Pledges are currently under construction and
not yet available.
Grading
Each question from the tests is weighed equally.
The grading scale is as follows: A: 90-100, B: 80-89, C: 70-79,
D=60-69. The pledges are not graded, though they must all be
completed in order for the student to finish the course. The
student must not receive help on any of the tests. If the student
is taking the tests online, a code word will be provided to signify
this. If the student is taking paper tests, an adult of at least 21
years of age must sign each test. The student may receive
assistance on the pledges -- discussion of the material is
recommended. See the Enrollment page or
contact our office for more information.
